2009 香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚獎揭幕 - 城中名人妙論資訊及通訊科技提升生活時尚

Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009: Best Lifestyle Award
Launching Ceremony
Celebrities to illustrate the importance of information and communication technology in enhancing trendy lifestyle

[Hong Kong, 25th August 2009] Organized by The Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF), and supported by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009: Best Lifestyle Award held its launching ceremony today at Ocean Terminal Main Concourse of Harbour City at Tsim Sha Tsui.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009 is the most prestigious information and communications technology (ICT) awards in town. Supported by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO), the Hong Kong ICT Awards comprise of nine awards. This year, Hong Kong Information Technology Federation (HKITF) has been honoured to be the leading organizer for Best Lifestyle Award. The Award is categorized into three streams, including Green & Healthy, Social Community and Creative & Free Living, expecting to attract more and higher quality entries.

The Award’s launching ceremony was officiated by the Chief Judge of the Award, Mr. Stephen Chan, General Manager of Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) together with Mr Daniel Ng, President of HKITF, Mr. Jeremy Godfrey, Government Chief Information Officer and Mr. Francis Fong, Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the Award. The organizing committee is honoured to have Legislative Council Member Hon. Ms. Tanya Chan, Mr. Ricky Wong, Chairman of City Telecom (HK) Limited and Dr. William Lo Wing Yan, JP, to be the Chief Assessor for the three award streams respectively.

Mr Daniel Ng, President of HKITF delivered the opening speech at the ceremony, said, “The Chief Executive has announced to explore six economic areas, including Innovation and technology, which further confirms the importance of information technology. IT has been inseparable with daily life. The slogan for the ICT Award is “A key to international recognition and ticket to the worldwide market”. Hong Kong is the convergence of Chinese and Western cultures, with many creative talents and excellent software and hardware provisions. I am looking forward to the proactive participation of various lifestyle-related websites, services and products to demonstrate the latest resourceful and excellent IT solution of Hong Kong to the world, making the Best Lifestyle Award ever-success.”

Speaking at the ceremony to announce details of the Award and call for entries, Mr. Francis Fong, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Award said, “HKITF is honoured to be the leading organizer for Best Lifestyle Award. This year, the Award has introduced three streams: Green & Healthy, Social Community and Creative & Free Living, matching prevalence of the community. So, we expect to have more innovative IT-related solutions and applications. Submissions for the Award are now open until 16 October, 2009. With the previous experience in organizing the Award, we believe we can scale new heights.”

Mr. Erwin Huang, Vice President and CEO of TSL Jewellery hosted a “Lifestyle tea gathering” together with Ms. Tanya Chan, Mr. Ricky Wong to have a chat over a cup of tea and share their insight on IT and quality lifestyle. As the social media is getting popular in the community, blog writing has become one of the daily activities. Therefore, “Bloggers’ Favourite” section was held and invited some local renowned bloggers to share their most favourite digital gadgets and its impact to enhance quality lifestyle. The ceremony was concluded successfully after the relaxing discussion.

About “Best Lifestyle Award”
The objectives of the Best Lifestyle Award are: to promote greater use of ICT in the community; to encourage local and original software development and promote improved creativity in the exploitation of technology; to educate the community about the importance of ICT in their daily lives; and the promotion of the winning entries’ would lead to their greater and better use by our community for the betterment of our quality of life.

The essence of the competition is to select the best HK-based websites/ applications/ products, which provide information and resources on relevant aspect of lifestyle and living such as health, hobbies, entertainment, social and community networking, and like subjects. Websites/ applications/ products of an adult nature are excluded. This year, there are THREE streams of the Award, namely “Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009: Best Lifestyle (Green & Healthy) Award”, “Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009: Best Lifestyle (Social Community) Award” and “Hong Kong ICT Awards 2009: Best Lifestyle (Creative & Free Living) Award”. 【2009年8月25日 - 香港】由香港資訊科技商會主辦及政府資訊科技總監辦公室鼎力支持的2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚獎於今日(8月25日,星期二)下午二時假尖沙咀海港城海運大廈展覽大堂揭幕。

「2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎」為本地資訊及通訊科技業界最高殊榮,由政府資訊科技總監辦公室全力支持,整個項目包括九個不同獎項類別。今年,香港資訊科技商會再次榮獲「最佳生活時尚獎」主辦權。今屆「最佳生活時尚獎」共設三個組別:「綠色‧健康」、「網絡社交」及「創意‧休閒」,預期能吸引更多高質素方案參加。

是次揭幕禮主禮嘉賓陣容鼎盛,當中包括擔任評審委員會主席的香港電視廣播有限公司總經理陳志雲先生、香港資訊科技商會會長吳志成先生、香港特別行政區政府資訊科技總監葛輝先生、最佳生活時尚獎籌委會主席方保僑先生。大會邀得立法會議員陳淑莊小姐、城市電訊(香港)有限公司主席王維基先生及盧永仁博士為各項組別評審小組主席。

香港資訊科技商會會長吳志成先生為活動致開幕辭說:「行政長官早前提出研究發展6項優勢產業,當中包括創新科技,進一步確定資訊科技扮演著重要角色。資訊科技已經融入日常生活,成為不可或缺一環。今年,香港資訊及通訊科技獎的口號是「贏取國際認同、開拓環球市場的重要途徑」。香港薈萃中西文化,創意人才濟濟,加上優良的軟件和硬件配套,我期待各類與生活時尚有關的網站、服務和產品積極參與,向世界展示香港最創新和卓越的資訊及通訊科技方案,令最佳生活時尚獎更放異彩。」

2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚獎籌委會主席方保僑先生介紹這個獎項,並宣布比賽詳情時表示:「香港資訊科技商會很榮幸再次奪得2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚獎主辦權。今屆特設立三個組別:「綠色‧健康」、「網絡社交」及「創意‧休閒」,貫徹符合整體社會文化趨勢,同時相信吸引更多創意的資訊科技方案,由即日起至10月16日報名參加;憑藉以往主辦最佳生活時尚獎經驗,相信今屆成績將會更上一層樓。」

大會即席開設「生活茶聚」,謝瑞麟珠寶副主席暨行政總裁黃岳永先生擔任主持,聯同陳淑莊小姐及王維基先生,以茶會友,暢談資訊科技,分享生活時尚心得。隨著網絡世界融入生活,寫網誌成為日常活動之一。有見及此,大會特設「Blog blog 齋」環節邀請了多位博客(blogger),攜同他們最喜愛的數碼玩意,跟市民分享資訊科技如何提升生活時尚,揭幕禮亦隨著一眾輕鬆交流氣氛圓滿結束。

有關最佳生活時尚獎:
2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚獎的主要目的是鼓勵更廣泛的資訊科技應用;鼓勵更多具創意的軟件發展,以及提升開發科技的創意;教育社會大眾資訊科技於生活上的重要性;透過推廣得獎項目,有助社會大眾更多和更有效使用這些產品,從而改善生活質素。

是次比賽將選出有關時尚生活的最佳資訊和資源,如保健、興趣、娛樂、社會及社交團體網絡,及相關主題的最佳本地網頁/科技應用/產品。只為18歲以上成人而設的網站/應用系統/產品將不獲資格參加。最佳生活時尚獎分為三個組別:2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚(綠色‧健康)獎、2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚(網絡社交)獎及2009香港資訊及通訊科技獎:最佳生活時尚(創意‧休閒)獎。現已接受報名,截止日期為10月16日。詳情查詢,請致電2788-6085聯絡秘書處,或瀏覽http://bestlifestyle.ictawards.hk
